New Jersey's Criminal Justice Reform Act (Bail Reform) is dangerous, unfunded, and is releasing offenders with no accountability.
When the voters approved the law in Nov 2014, the ballot question led me to believe that this law would allow Judges to detain the most violent offenders and establish pretrial release for low level offenders.
In fact, most offenders are now being released with no accountability or bail while others still sit in jail on low municipal bail warrants and failure to pay fines.
The judiciary is claiming that bail reform is working as it was intended…but thousands of offenders are being released daily with no accountability.
Help protect our communities and TAKE ACTION by emailing legislators and elected officials to urge them to Repeal and Replace the NJ Criminal Justice Reform Act.
