Petition To Repeal and Replace the NJ Bail Reform Act!

Dear Legislators and Elected Officials, 

The attached petition is meant to urge lawmakers to Repeal and Replace the New Jersey Criminal Justice Reform Act.

NJs Criminal Justice Reform Act (Bail Reform) is dangerous, unfunded, and is releasing offenders with no accountability.  

When the voters approved the law in Nov 2014, the ballot question led us to believe that this law would allow Judges to detain the most violent offenders and establish pretrial release for low level offenders.  

In fact, most offenders are now being released with no accountability or bail while others still sit in jail on low municipal bail warrants and failure to pay fines.

The judiciary is claiming that bail reform is working as it was intended…but what we see is the reckless release of thousands of offenders with no accountability.  

Once again, we urge you to immediately to REPEAL and REPLACE NJ's Criminal Justice Reform Act now!
